The Clearview Fire Department has a new deputy chief. Township council appointed Roree Payment acting deputy chief at its meeting Monday, Aug. 12. Moments after the appointment was announced, Payment, a 14-year veteran of the department, received a generous applause from members of council and township staff, as well as more than a dozen firefighters who were seated in the gallery.
